Disappointing to say the least. In their second game in a row against the Calgary Flames, the Canucks come up short once again. Two off the post, and one off the crossbar, if the puck had been half an inch closer, it would've gone in. However, again, if it was only half an inch further, it would not have hit the post at all... The Canucks are winless against teams from Alberta this year.

| Canucks 3 Rangers 2
 Announced earlier today by Nonis, Clouts will be undergoing knee surgery and will be out for at least four months. Auld will be the Canucks' #1 'til Nonis finds a replacement.
Auld came up with a solid game against the rangers today with the news of Cloutier's injury. Though outshooting the Rangers in the first, the Canucks were still unable to score a goal. Second period, play evened out. Jovo's nifty two line pass allows Bert to score to bring the Canucks ahead 1-0. Prucha would score a powerplay goal to even it up. Daniel Sedin scores to regain the lead, Prucha scores again to tie it. Cooke, playing his first since his injury in November, rushes up to the net to score on a rebound. That would be the game's final goal and also the game winner.
